I think a mod that would be funny is Artificer but the scavengers will grab them and put them in water saying "thy need bath", only letting them out after 45 seconds of moisture, after which they won't dunk you in water for the rest of the cycle unless you kill one or get in the blast radius of a grenade.

The last one is really damn cool, perhaps a slugcat like this could be made that could detach puppets from their chambers and to themselves, and then use powers of some sort, maybe for movement or combat, reading pearls on demand, or control tech stuff similar to the technomancer
