If you think the 4 spring-screws are too short, maybe you try to screw them directely in the PCB... You need the rectangular back plate on the other side of the mobo. It often 'disengage' before being useful.

thanks for this, AMD's install manual sucks for someone who hasn't done this in a while. Question: I stupidly installed the cooler in the wrong direction the first time and had to re-seat it twice, pulling the thermal paste apart. It seemed mostly intact afterwards and got good connection, but any idea exactly how bad this is for the processor thermals?

I don’t have those black riser screws to install that cpu fan so my fan screws don’t reach. Where did you get them from?

Is there a.piece of.plastic covering the.pre applied thermal paste, in which i have to take off, i also.have an asus tuf x570 motherboard. Do i take off the pieces of.plastic and just screw the fan mount into the holes or do i have to change.out the bracket that is already on the back part of the.motherboard?

Random question though: With this R3 3200g cpu, would a RX 580 8gb GPU be higher or lower graphics than the integrated one in the cpu? Or are they about the same?

Bro I’m seriously struggling with the fan I took the fan off because I wanted to add some thermal paste, after I did I can’t install the fan now should I just push harder or?

On of the four screws on the cooler doesn't tight .
Like it's bounce back ..
No mater how much I screw it
