Basic Needs of Plants || My Flower Poem || Kindergarten Lesson || English & Science for Kids

Hi Friends and fellow Homeschoolers!

This video was created as Cee's performance task for her Reading (English) and Science subjects.

In this video, she will recite a poem entitled "My Flower". The poem was provided to us by our Homeschool education program provider, Peniel Integrated Christian Academy of Rizal.

If you want, you can also recite the poem with Cee:
"MY FLOWER

I had a little seed,
And I put it in a pot.
I put it in the sunshine,
And I watered it a lot.

I waited and I waited.
I watched it grow and grow.
And then one day a flower

came out to say hello."

She will also discuss about the basic needs of plants such as the soil, water, air, sunlight, and proper care. This activity will also serve as her review exercise for her 2nd quarter exams. The lesson which will be discussed in this video was taken from her textbook Ladders to Learning Series K2 Science Second Edition by Abiva publishing.

After the discussion, Cee will answer a worksheet to check her level of knowledge retention. You can also answer the worksheet with her. A copy of the worksheet is provided in the following link:
