Violet needs to understand that if Becky revealed she's Wordgirl then potentially her and her loved ones could be in danger by villains 💀

Every superhero’s best friends understands why they had to keep their identity a secret and supported them. Unfortunately, Violet didn’t understand that way and ended her friendship with Becky.

I love the fact that we're taking Violet's words so seriously of “Best friends don’t ever lie to each other because they don’t have to.”
We forget that canonically they're in 4th grade, the complexities of why or why not Becky is keeping her secret goes over Violet's head because she's simply hurt and betrayed using her personal definition of what it means to be best friends.
What this really speaks volumes of is the writing prowess of the team behind the scripts throughout the series. Most characters got character development. A lot of the filler episodes were entertaining, and they posed a lot of interesting circumstances all while expanding our vocabularies as children.

“Best friends don’t ever lie to eachother because they don’t have to.”

Is she forreal it’s called SECRET IDENTITY for a reason, I know she hurt cause beky lied to her, but she gotta understand what would’ve happened if villains knew if she knew who word girl was.

1:58 I choose to believe the guy who plays the narrator had no idea this emotional turn was going to happen when he showed up to record his lines, and his awkwardness here is ad-libbed.

0:43 to 1:55 It's really rare for shows marketed towards kids to have quiet moments like these, where there's no background music, no sound effects to make things dramatic; only small ambience like the sound of rain. It's just how it is in real life: uncomfortable, somber silence. And it's amazing at making the viewer feel sad too! Unfortunately you don't see many quiet moments like these in media targeted towards children- they resort to the exaggerated music and effects, which didn't get me as a kid as much as this tactic does.

This is the only time I saw a non-moral based edutainment show get this emotional and serious

This is what invincible tried to do and failed. How did a preschool show did this plot better then a adult animated series?!

This is one of the saddest moments in the wordgirl series. Violet finds out that Becky is Wordgirl by accident because Becky made a mistake of transforming in front of cameras that take pictures every few seconds. Due to this, Violet can't help but question her friendship with Becky. It also makes sense to Violet for Becky to be Wordgirl considering as Violet puts it "all the sudden takeoffs, all the bad excuses". Violet has been shown to be perceptive when she wants to be, and admits that she should have figured out Becky was Wordgirl before, but she simply didn't think much of it. Violet then asks Becky if she really is Wordgirl and says she will believe whatever answer she gives. When Becky does admit to being Wordgirl, of course Violet is sad about it to the point of tears. This means that for a long time, Becky has been lying to her, and it makes Violet question if their friendship was real. It's sad when Violet tells Becky that they aren't friends anymore, and that she doesn't believe that they ever were really friends. You can tell that Becky doesn't want to lose her friendship with Violet, but Violet feels emotionally betrayed to the point that she pulls away from Becky when she tries to hold on to their friendship. The rain only makes the scene sadder, as if the clouds were crying tears for Becky and Violet.

Violet’s voice actor did a great job here. Lol no offense but Becky’s voice actor is great at enthusiasm and confidence, but not so much so with solemn stuff

Man I missed so much of this show, how'd it go from trying to get a mad scientist back to his old self to straight up heartbreak?

Poor Violet thinks that Becky's been faking their whole friendship. That's probably why she cries and was mad and sad.

Bro ngl, the narrator might be the same actor as jerry, but he literally just turned into jerry in this scene

Wish violet understood why Becky kept her identity a secret. It was for her safety and violets safety a long with her family members. The enemies don’t have to be stronger than word girl if her friends knew who she really is. They can use this to their advantage and lure word girl right into their trap.

I love how the narrator is still trying to be optimistic for a kids show
