Torii Wolf believes in music’s power to transcend genre, gender, time, space, and different planes of existence. In a 15-year career that has spanned styles from singer-songwriter to hip-hop, Wolf’s primal, sensual style has never failed to create a sense of intimacy with their listeners.

Torii specializes in bringing the cerebral '90s trip-hop and alternative rock pioneered by acts like Portishead, Massive Attack, and Radiohead into the 21st century. They call their ghostly voice a “spiritual trumpet,” an apt description given that they often evoke the sirens of Greek mythology and the lighthouse as symbols. With their music, Torii seems to stand on the shore of the physical world and speak into another dimension.

“I like how music can be a bridge to the spiritual world,” Torii says. “I want to use my music to build a safe space for people to feel.”

Torii strives to maintain a light heart while awakening deep emotions and physical responses in listeners. They want the music to be about breaking down preconceived notions and redesigning humans. No pigeonholing, no labels. Torii seeks to make music that becomes a conduit to transcendence.

Torii's unique talents and vision have landed them on tour with the legendary hip hop producer DJ Premier. “Torii has such a weird, wicked style,” Premier says. “It’s just very left field—reminiscent of a Bjork or something like that. They are so unique and versatile; they write, sing, and they are an accomplished guitarist and drummer. But image-wise, there is no comparison. Subject-wise, Torii is in a whole different place.
