In this interview, Doctor N. Venketasubramanian presents "Ischemic Stroke and Savings in Time to Achieve Functional Recovery: Experience from NeuroAiD" published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Development and Disease.

This clinical study provides promising results to achieve earlier and faster functional recovery in patients receiving a 3-month course of NeuroAiD following an ischemic stroke.

Dr. N. Venketasubramanian is a neurologist at Raffles Hospital in Singapore, and Adjunct Professor, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. His research is in stroke, neurosonology, dementia, epidemiology. He was the Chair of the Asian Stroke Advisory Panel, and is President-Elect of the Asia Pacific Stroke Organization.

He is actively involved in both postgraduate and undergraduate medical training, as well as the teaching of allied healthcare workers and the public. He is a member of numerous local and international committees as well as an editorial board member and reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals related to medicine, neurology and stroke.
