Been crying all damned day. Now I actually, genuinely feel like things just might be okay again in a little while. My folks have been trying to comfort me all day, but apparently, it took finding this, while sitting quietly alone and trying desperately to find something to fill the silence in a less depressing way, to make me feel even marginally better.

So as a person with severe depression and tons of trauma I'm struggling to work through in healthier ways right now, thanks for tickling my brain with this playlist. It made me earnestly want to smile through the tears-- after all, how bad can it all REALLY be when life also has such a capacity to be bouncy and wholesomely silly and fun sometimes, too? Am I still crying? Honestly, kinda yeah. But I also can't help but smile and laugh at the silliness of each subsequent track. Crying or not-- hell, especially while crying I'd argue-- that ability to smile and giggle at anything right now is so valuable to me.

Might have just been a fun YouTube project for you.

For me today, it transformed literal pure misery, into a glimmer of hope that I can be happy again, even through the hurt I feel in this moment.

Just thought you should know. These fun little projects that are meant to make folks feel happy? They did that, and more. This is the less expected impact of your work, and you're doing a damned fine job of it, even though you likely had no idea such a silly thing could transform deep depression into a sense of hope for the future. It still did. So thank you. More than my silly, depresso espresso rear end has words to adequately express.
