All Jeep wranglers are part time 4wd. U shift it into 4wd. The YJs have a piece on the front axle that actually connects the axle shaft to the diff. When u put it into 4wd. That's what ur switch does that locks it into 4wd. It mechanically slides a fork in the front axle to connect it to the diff. Originally it was done by an actuator that was moved by vacuum. Nice Jeep! Got a few ideas. Thanks for sharing.

Update, he broke a leaf spring so we replaced with a set of 2 inch lift new ones. Replaced the Shackles as well with 3/4 inch lift.
