Straightforward by expressing everything as powers of prime numbers. Then you can factor out 2^11 * 3^10 from the numerator and denominator, leaving (2 + 2*5)/(2*3^2 - 3) = 12/15 = 4/5

I prime factored each quantity in the margin making sure I was following the correct rules of exponents. I then used the distributive property to extract the greatest common factor, producing a product in the numerator and denominator. I then reduced the fraction by factors of 1 (bases in the numerator and denominator having the same exponent) producing the answer of 4/5 like your second example.

After factorizing to powers of primes and doing some arithmetics...

So satisfying to see those #s cancel and simplify

It is not enough to answer these problems correctly. If you can't get it done in less time than the video or make a calculation error, you need to reflect on why.

I love how you suggest brute force calculation..
