Why are Muslim clerics are afraid of the Bible when the Qur'an confirms the Bible?

The Qur'anic View of the Jewish and Christian Scripture:

1/ The Qur'an teaches that all scripture should be respected in the same way:

O ye who believe! Believe in Allah and His Apostle, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Apostle and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). Any who denieth Allah, His Angels, His Books, His Apostles, and the Day of Judgement, hath gone far, far astray (4:136 AYA).

We believe in Allah, and in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus, and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another among them (3:84 AYA).

2/ The Torah that was given to Moses, and the Gospel that was given to Jesus, are the scriptures that the Jews and Christians now possess:

Those who follow the Messenger (Mohammed), the Prophet who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) with them (7:157 MP).

And when there cometh unto them (Jews) a Scripture (the Qur'an) from Allah, confirming that in their possession (2:89 MP).

Thus, the Qur'an is not referring to scripture that Jews and Christians use to possess in the past, but now are lost. Rather, the Torah given to Moses, and the Gospel given to Jesus, is the scripture that is with them (the Christians and Jews) and in their possession at the time of Muhammad.

3/ The Qur'an teaches that it confirms and explains more fully the previous scripture:

This Koran is not such as can be produced by other than Allah; on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it, and a fuller explanation of the Book (10:37 AYA/38 MP).
Thus, the Qur'an sees itself as the guardian of the message of all scripture: To thee We sent the scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety (5:48 MP/51 AYA).

There are soo many verses in Qur'an that confirms Torah and bible. I hope silly Muhammadans read the Qur'an and not from a bakistani. Qur'an 2:41 And believe in that I have sent down, confirming that which is with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And sell not My signs for a little price; and fear you Me.

Qur'an 2:89 And when there came to them a Book from Allah verifying that which they have, and aforetime they used to pray for victory against those who disbelieve, but when there came to them (Prophet) that which they did not recognize, they disbelieved in him; so Allah's curse is on the unbelievers.

Qur'an 2:91 And when they were told, 'Believe in that God has sent down, ' they said, 'We believe in what was sent down on us'; and they disbelieve in what is beyond that, yet it is the truth confirming what IS with them. Say: 'Why then were you slaying the Prophets of God in former time, if you were believers?'

Qur'an 2:97 Say: Whoever is the enemy of Jibreel -- for surely he revealed it to your heart by Allah's command, verifying that which IS before it and guidance and good news for the believers.

Qur'an 2:101 And when there came to them an Apostle from Allah verifying that which they have, a party of those who were given the Book threw the Book of Allah behind their backs as if they knew nothing. S. Shakir

Qur'an 3:3 He sent down to you this scripture, truthfully, confirming all previous scriptures, and He sent down the Torah and the Gospel. S.

Qur'an 3:81 And when God took compact with the Prophets: 'That I have given you of Book and Wisdom; then there shall come to you a Messenger confirming what IS with you -- you shall believe in him and you shall help him; do you agree?' He said. 'And do you take My load on you on that condition?' They said, 'We do agree.' God said, 'Bear witness so, and I shall be with you among the witnesses.'

Qur'an 4:47 You who have been given the Book, believe in what We have sent down, confirming what IS with you, before We obliterate faces, and turn them upon their backs, or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-men, and God's command is done.

Qur'an 5:48 And We have revealed to you the Book with the truth, verifying what IS before it of the Book and a guardian over it, therefore judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their low desires (to turn away) from the truth that has come to you; for every one of you did We appoint a law and a way, and if Allah had pleased He would have made you (all) a single people, but that He might try you in what He gave you, therefore strive with one another to hasten to virtuous deeds; to Allah is your return, of all (of you), so He will let you know that in which you differed;

Qur'an 6:92 And this is a Book We have revealed, blessed, verifying that which IS before it, and that you may warn the metropolis and those around her; and those who believe in the hereafter believe in it, and they attend to their prayers constantly.

Qur'an 10:37 This Koran could not have been forged apart from God; but it is a confirmation of what IS before it, and a distinguishing of the Book, wherein is no doubt, from the Lord of all Being.

Qur'an 12:111 In their stories is surely a lesson to men possessed of minds; it is not a tale forged, but a confirmation of what IS before it, and a distinguishing of every thing, and a guidance, and a mercy to a people who believe.

Qur'an 35:31 And that We have revealed to thee of the Book is the truth, confirming what IS before it; God is aware of and sees His servants.

Qur'an 37:37
No indeed; but he brought the truth, and confirmed the Envoys.

Qur'an 46:12
Yet before it was the Book of Moses for a model and a mercy; and this is a Book confirming, in Arabic tongue, to warn the evildoers, and good tidings to the good-doers.

Qur'an 46:30
They said: O our people! we have listened to a Book revealed after Musa verifying that which is before it, guiding to the truth and to a right path:

I think Muhammad even knows that Jesus Christ is the true God but on the other hand he was trying to create a new religion, u can say he took man from the bible new and old testament cos there are similarities in some stories we heard from the Koran

Few points. First Codex Sinaiticus is the oldest surviving bible out there. Mark 1:1 does not mention son of GOD in it. Furthermore, none of the christian scholars agree on who wrote the four gospels. Next, council of nicea which took place 300 plus years later are debating on who was Jesus. I can't believe people do not see the signs that christianity is a made up religion. In reality Islam was always the correct religion. Islam started with Prophet Adam and continues to today. Only religion that talks about Prophet Moses and Prophet Jesus and Prophet Muhammad as Prophets of GOD. Talks about what the people of the past did and altered their scriptures and only speculate and don't know 100% what is real or not. Quran Chapter 2 verse 79: So woe to those who write the "scripture" with their own hands, then say, "This is from ALLAAH" in order to exchange it for a small price. Woe to them for what their hands have written and woe to them for what they earn. I hope you all become Muslim. Ameen.

I don't believe Bible is corrupted. But there is one topic that is a contradiction it is Matthew 15 and Matthew 23. It is about Takanot. I guess it has to do with error.

You see the problem with your statement is that you haven't even read out the verses you quoted. And No where in the Quran does it mention "Bible". Your book is not Authoritative. The Quran mentions Injeel(Gospel) and Torah. Not Bible.

There are over 30 000 edits to the Bible itself. And each Christian denomination uses a different Bible. Please try again harder

Jews do not follow the Old Testament because it is a Christian translation with some errors in the Hebrew translation and sometimes has different verse numbers compared to the Tanakh Jewish scripture which is followed by the Jewish people.
In Quran 5:48 Allah explains that the Torah Taurat given to the Jews and Gospel Injil given to the Christians and Quran given to the Muslims contain different laws so that Allah could create different communities of Allah.
.
.
Note 1. The Jews who believed in Allah and did good deeds go to Paradise Jannah.
Note 2. The Christians who believed in Allah and did good deeds go to Paradise Jannah.
Note 3. The Sabians who believed in Allah and did good deeds go to Paradise Jannah.
Note 4. The Muslims who believed in Allah and did good deeds go to Paradise Jannah.
Note 5. Everyone who believed in Allah and did good deeds goes to Paradise Jannah.
Note 6. This revelation is so important that Allah has repeated it in Quran 5:69.
.
Quran 4:123 Ayah 4:123 (Entry to Paradise Jannah) shall not be based on your (the Muslim's) desires or on the desires of the people of the Scripture (the Jews and the Christians). (Instead) whoever does wrong (on the earth) shall earn (the punishment for the wrong) and that person shall not find any protector or helper other than Allah (in the hereafter).
.
Note 1. Allah will judge Muslims and Christians and Jews and every creation justly in the hereafter.
.
Quran 3:85 Ayah 3:85 And whoever seeks a religion other than submission (to Allah Adonai Allah Elohim G-d HaShem Jehovah Yahweh YHWH which includes every human from the beginning of time until the end of time,  for example stone idol worship) it shall not be accepted by Him (Allah) in the Hereafter and (such a person) shall be one of the losers (in the hereafter. Islam has two meanings, the general meaning is submission in Quran 3:85 meaning anyone who submits to Allah such as Prophet Abraham Ibrahim in the past and the Jews who are promised Paradise Jannah in the time of Prophet Muhammad in Quran 3:113 – 3:115 and the Christians who are promised Paradise Jannah in the time of Prophet Muhammad in Quran 5:82 – 5:85 and all humans in future in the hereafter who “believed” and did good deeds including Jews and Christians and others in Quran 2:62, Quran 5:69 and Quran 6:158. If Quran 3:85 had the specific meaning of “Islam” instead of the general meaning of “submission” then it would mean no people except the people from the religion of Islam would be in Paradise Jannah meaning all the prophets and people before Islam would be the losers in the hereafter which is not correct because it contradicts other verses in the Quran and it does not make sense meaning the word Islam in Quran 3:85 is the general meaning “submission” and not the specific meaning “Islam”).
.
Note 1. The Muslim religion Islam is the religion of submission to Allah (Quran 3:64).
Note 2. The Jewish religion Judaism is the religion of submission to Allah (Quran 3:64).
Note 3. The Christian religion Christianity is the religion of submission to Allah (Quran 3:64).
.
Quran 3:64 Ayah 3:64 Say, “O People of the Scripture (the Jews and the Christians) let us come to an agreement between you and us (Muslims), that we shall worship no one but Allah, and that we shall ascribe no partner to Him (meaning, there is only one Allah, we pray only to our creator the one Allah and no one else, not to sons, not to saints, not to any idol), and that none of us shall take others for Lords instead of Allah.” And if they turn away, then say, “Bear witness that we (are the ones who truly believe in Allah and we) have submitted to Him (Allah, to the will of Allah).”
.
Note 1. Allah does not require humans to all be in one religion (Quran 5:48).
Note 2. Allah does require that every religion worship only Allah (Quran 3:85).
Note 3. Allah says if the Jews and the Christians and others worship only Allah like the Muslims worship only Allah then the Jews and the Christians and others are correctly guided by Allah (Quran 3:64).
.
Quran 5:48 Ayah 5:48 “... For each (community of Jews, Christians and Muslims) We (Allah) have appointed a divine law and a way (of religion). If Allah willed He (Allah) could have made you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) one community. But He (Allah) tests you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) by what He (Allah) has given you (in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran to show who is best in behaviour). So strive for all that is good. To Allah you shall all return and He (Allah) shall then inform you (in the Hereafter) about (the correctness of) the religious matters in which you (the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims) argue among each other.
.
Note 4. Allah commands the Jews, the Christians and the Muslims to do what is good according to what Allah has given them in the Torah Taurat and the Gospel Injil and the Koran Quran to show which humans are the best in behaviour.
Note 5. Allah says that on the Day of Resurrection and Judgement in the hereafter every human will return to Allah and Allah shall inform them about the religious matters about which they argued.
Note 6. Allah protects the Torah Taurat for every Jewish generation until the Day of Judgement (Quran 5:48).
Note 7. Allah protects the Gospel Injil for every Christian generation until the Day of Judgement (Quran 5:48).
Note 8. Allah protects the Koran Quran for every Muslim generation until the Day of Judgement (Quran 5:48).
Note 9. Entry to Paradise the Garden of Eden the Garden of Righteousness Jannah is not based on the question of Sunni or Shia or Muslim or Jew or Christian but it is based on your good behaviour towards all humans and creatures in this world and your relationship with Allah (Quran 5:48).
Note 10. In the sight of humans Judaism and Christianity and Sabians and Islam are different religions.
Note 11. In the sight of Allah Judaism and Christianity and Sabians and Islam are “different communities of Allah” because they were all created by Allah for only one reason which is “to submit to Allah.”
.
Quran 6:158 Ayah 6:158 "... belief in it (Allah and the Day of Resurrection and Judgement) shall not help any soul …. if in belief (he or she) did not earn good (by doing righteous deeds in their life). ....”
.
Quran 41:8 Ayah 41:8 “For those who believe and do good deeds, for them is an everlasting reward (in Paradise Jannah).”
.
Quran 48:14 Ayah 48:14 To Allah belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He (Allah) forgives whom He (Allah) will and punishes whom He (Allah) will. Allah is forgiving and merciful.
Note 1. Mercy and forgiveness and punishment in the hereafter is with Allah.
.
Quran 98:5 Ayah 98:5 They (the Jews and the Christians) were not commanded anything (from Allah in the Torah Taurat and in the Gospel Injil) except that they (the Jews and the Christians) should worship Allah and be faithful in religion to Him (Allah) and establish prayer (only to the one Allah who created them) and give charity (to the needy people). That is the correct religion of Allah.
Note 1. Allah explains why Judaism with the Torah Taurat and Christianity with the Gospel Injil and Islam with the Quran are the same belief in one Allah who is the creator of every creation.

EXPLANATION OF REVELATION 12 (Woman clothed in the sun with the moon under her feet).
“Mystical city of God” - Mary of Agreda, catholic mystic)

94. The literal version of that chapter of the Apocalypse is as follows:
“And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars:
And being with child, she cried travailing in birth, and was in pain to be delivered.
And there was seen another sign in heaven; and behold a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns; and on his head seven diadems.
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven and cast them to the earth and the dragon stood before the woman, who was ready to be delivered; that, when she should be delivered, he might devour her son.
And she brought forth a man-child, who was to rule all nations with an iron rod; and her son was taken up to God, and to his throne.
And the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, that there they should feed her a thousand two hundred and sixty days.
And there was a great battle in heaven; Michael and his angels fought with the dragon and the dragon fought and his angels.
And they prevailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven.
And the dragon was cast out, that old serpent, who is called the devil and satan, who seduceth the whole world; and he was cast unto the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
And I heard a loud voice saying: Now is come salvation and strength, and the kingdom of our Cod and the power of his Christ; because the accuser of our brethren is cast forth, who accused them before our God day and night.
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of the testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death.
Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you that dwell therein. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil is come down unto you, having a great wrath and knowing that he hath but a short time.
And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth he persecuted the woman, who brought forth the man-child:
And there were given to the woman two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the desert unto her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
And the serpent cast out of his mouth after the woman, water as if it were a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the river.
And the earth helped the woman and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed the river, which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
And the dragon was angry against the woman and went to make war with the rest of her seed, who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
And he stood upon the sands of the sea.

95. Such are the words of the Evangelist. He speaks in the past, because at that time was shown to him a vision of that which had already happened. He says: “And a great sign appeared in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars.” This sign appeared really in the heavens by divine disposition and was shown to the good and the bad angels, in order that seeing it, they might subject their will to the pleasure and the commands of God. They saw it therefore before the good ones chose the good and before the bad ones had turned to evil. It was as it were a mirror of the wonderful perfection of the handiwork of God in creating human nature. Although He had already revealed this perfection to the angels in making known to them the mystery of the hypostatic union, yet He wished to reveal it to them also in a different manner by showing it to them in a mere Creature, the most perfect and holy which, next to the humanity of our Lord, He was to create. It was also a sign for the assurance of the good angels and for confusion of the bad, since it manifested to them that in spite of the offense which was committed, God would not let the decree of creating man be unfulfilled, and that the incarnate Word and this Woman, his Mother, would please Him infinitely more than the disobedient angels could ever displease Him. This sign was also like the rainbow, which appeared after the flood in the clouds of heaven, as a guarantee that even if men should sin like the angels and become disobedient, they were not to be punished like the angels without remission, but would be furnished with salutary medicine and remedy by this wonderful sign. It was as if God said to the angels: I will not chastise in the same way the other creatures which I call into my existence, because this Woman, in whom my Onlybegotten is to assume flesh, belongs to that race. My Son shall be the Restorer of friendship and the Pacifier of my justice; He shall open the way to the felicity, which sin would close.

96. In further testimony of this, after the punishment of the disobedient angels, God made use of the sign in order to show that his anger, which the pride of Lucifer had occasioned, was appeased and placated. And according to our way of understanding, He rejoiced in the presence of the Queen thus represented in that image. He gave the angels to understand that, through Christ and his Mother, He would now divert upon men the grace which the apostates had lost through their rebellion. There was also another effect of that great sign among the good angels; namely, that since they had been, as it were, made sorrowful and made unhappy (speaking according to our way of understanding) the Most High now wished to rejoice them with the sight of that image and to increase their essential beatitude by this accidental pleasure merited by their victory over Lucifer. Seeing this Woman so full of clemency (Esther 4, 11), appearing to them as a sign of peace, they understood at once that the decree of punishment was not issued against them, since they had obeyed the precepts of the Lord and his divine will. Much of the mysteries and sacraments of the Incarnation, and those of the Church militant and its members, were made manifest to them in this sign. They understood also, that they were to assist and help the human race, by watching over men, by defending them against their enemies and by leading them to eternal felicity. They saw that they themselves would owe their felicity to the merits of the incarnate Word and that the Creator had preserved them also in grace through Christ preordained in the divine Mind.

97. Just as all this was a great joy and happiness for the good angels, so it was a great torment for the evil spirits. It was to the latter a part and the beginning of their punishment. For they saw at once, that having failed to profit by this sign, they were to be conquered and crushed by it (3, 15). All these mysteries, and many others, which I cannot explain, the Evangelist wished to comprehend in this chapter, and include in that great sign; although for us it will remain obscure and, enigmatic until the proper time arrives.

98. The sun, which is mentioned as clothing the Woman, is the true Sun of Justice. The angels were to understand by it, that the Most High was to remain with this Woman by his grace in order to overshadow and defend Her by the protection of his invincible right hand. The moon was beneath her feet; for as the two planets, the sun and the moon, divide night and day, therefore the moon, being the symbol of the darkness of sin, is beneath her feet, and the sun, being the symbol of the light of grace, clothes Her for all eternity. Thus also the deficiencies of grace in all mortals must be beneath her feet, and never must rise either to her soul or to her body, which on the contrary were to be ever superior to all angels and men. She alone was to be free from the darkness and the warnings of Lucifer and of Adam, treading them under foot without their being able to gain any advantage over Her. And just as She rose above all the guilt and the effects of original and of actual sin, God now placed these in a symbolical manner under her feet, in order that the good angels might know, and the bad ones, (though they did not attain full knowledge of the mysteries), might fear this Woman even before She came into actual existence.

99. The crown of twelve stars are evidently all the virtues, with which that Queen of heaven and earth was to be adorned. But the mystery of its being composed of twelve stars has reference to the twelve tribes of Israel, by which all the elect and the predestined are designated, as is mentioned in the seventh chapter of the Apocalypse by the Evangelist (Apoc. 7, 4). And since the gifts, graces and virtues of all the elect were to crown their Queen in a most eminent and exalted degree, a crown of twelve stars was placed around her head.
