Låtskriver: Hank Williams, Sr

"You Win Again" is a 1952 song by Hank Williams. In style, the song is a blues ballad and deals with the singer's despair with his partner. The song has been widely covered, including versions by Ray Charles, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, the Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, and the Rolling Stones.

Willie Hugh Nelson (born April 29, 1933) is an American musician, actor, and activist. The critical success of the album Shotgun Willie (1973), combined with the critical and commercial success of Red Headed Stranger (1975) and Stardust (1978), made Nelson one of the most recognized artists in country music. He was one of the main figures of outlaw country, a subgenre of country music that developed in the late 1960s as a reaction to the conservative restrictions of the Nashville sound. Nelson has acted in over 30 films, co-authored several books.

Bob Dylan (born Robert Allen Zimmerman; May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter, author, and visual artist who has been a major figure in popular culture for more than fifty years. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s, when songs such as "Blowin' in the Wind" (1963) and "The Times They Are a-Changin'" (1964) became anthems for the civil rights movement and anti-war movement. His lyrics during this period incorporated a wide range of political, social, philosophical, and literary influences, defied pop-music conventions and appealed to the burgeoning counterculture.

Lyrics:
The news is out, all over town
That you've been seen, a-runnin' round
I know that I should leave but then
I just can't go, you win again

This heart of mine could never see
What everybody knew but me
Just trusting you was my great sin
What can I do, you win again

I'm sorry for your victim now
'Cause soon his head like mine will bow
You'll use his heart, but all in vain
And someday say, you win again

You have no heart, you have no shame
You take true love and give the blame
I guess that I should not complain
I love you still, you win again

How lucky to be at that concert. Dylan doesn’t need to be the headliner!

There may not be two other artists of their greatness with more idiosyncratic timing and phrasing. Kudos to them both for this old chestnut not going completely off the tracks...
