In this video I will show you, how you can export your custom solutions built using Microsoft Dataverse for Teams and then import then into another Team or another Tenant. The answer is just one - SOLUTIONS!

I just thought importing the same way as exporting is more consistent :)

This has been a burning question of mine since Dataverse was announced :) Thank you for clearing this up.

Pozdrawiam

You can do all of that now straight from within MS Teams. In Power Apps click build. Select your environment you want to export from. Click show all. Select what to export, export. Select new environment, import. Done.

Thank you for the video Tomasz! Excellent easy to understand process.

A bit of a naive question, but does the data/records from the tables in the teams solution get imported as well when bringing the solution over to the other environment?

Great video! Glad this is possible!
I've tried it out and everything goes ok, but I ran into an issue with PowerBI tiles in my dataverse for teams canvas app.
Is there any way to add powerBI resources to your solution and migrate them as well? Or do I need to setup the dashboard again after import in a different organization and fix the links?

Hi Tomasz, thanks for the video. I've tried to repro this using 2 of my tenants and it fails on import with a generic error "<xml>Something went wrong. Please try again later.</xml>" - I've tried a few times and it's the same results. Couldn't get it to work in the same tenant for a different team either. Can I just check that this works from tenant to tenant?

Hi, Great video ! What are the rights needed to export/import a Solution? I'm a Power Platform Admin and it keeps saying me that I'm missing privileges...

Hello Tomasz,

Great video, thanks !
I have a additional question : I need to export some tables with the data inside (countries list, parameters, ...) how can I do that ?
With your method the tables arrives empty in the other tenant ... :(

Thanks in advance, keep up the good work !

@Tomasz Any else had problems where the Export button has disappeared recently? Now I have no way to export the solution. Any work around?

Great video again! Very funny to see you waiting for the import to finish 😂😂😂
By the way, do you have a workaround to disable other team members to access and eventually mess with your apps/flows/tables/etc that you developed for that specific team?
I wasn't able to figure out how to do this...

Hi can we do the other way around? So from MS Teams to MakePowerapps portal?

I love this, but are you sure it still works? Tried it a few times today and it's just said "currently exporting solution" and nothing happens - does this for as long as I leave it. When I look at the history there is nothing there, but when I try it again it moves on the version number. Very strange but could be a blip just today.

Hello Thomas and thank you for your great video on transferring solutions between tenants.

I tested this process and unfortunately, I get an error when importing on tenant 2.
Message: "An error has occurred. Please try again later."

My teams have the same name. I followed your process. Do you have any idea on the source of the problem?

Thank you for your help.
