China's President Visits Belgium to Consider Multimillion Dollar Deal

China's President is paying a state visit to Belgium, the last leg of his European trip. The two countries pledged to deepen their partnership and cooperation on Monday. President Xi also praised the Belgian prime minister Elio Di Rupo, for his continuous efforts to promote China-Belgium ties. Xi said China is willing to strengthen exchanges between their legislative bodies, political parties and local governments. Also during President Xi's trip to Belgium, China secured a pledge from the European Union to consider a multimillion dollar free-trade deal, which has been a long-held goal for Beijing.
