The fact she's Singing the same song as Signora actually makes me sad, because it's possible Signora sung it to her, and now Damslette is singing it at her coffin. That actually makes me very sad when I think about. Just to imagine how much she must miss Signora.

I've gaslit myself into believing that she is singing this to soothe Signora; this is La Signoras theme (exclusively), I believe it's possible that La Signora sung it to her- she used to be kind before the whole thing with her husband(?) happened, so possibly she was kind enough to sing it almost as a lullaby?, I feel as though, even though Columbina is clearly smiling- singing Signoras theme on her coffin, it may seem as though she is mocking her but I think she is soothing her, Columbina is supposed to(from what I've read) symbolise peace after death, something like heaven, a dove if you will, therefore, if this is true; she wouldn't be crying at all, she is at peace, the way she sings is breathy and feathery but also has a touch of mournfulness within; even if her face does not explicitly show that she misses her.
