That has got to be the smoothest running chainsaw I've ever seen. So vibration free, you would swear it's not running.

I never turn mine off-so it’s always ready to cut down some trees. i was wondering what that rope was for—I use it as a safety lanyard when swinging from one redwood tree to the next.

That doesn't work on mine. Do you think it could be the muffler bearings?

Is this only with the decompression style saws?

How does a saw start and run when not only the plug is missing but plug wire is gone too.

I’ve always started my chainsaws this way. My grandma taught me

A friend of mine tried to start his horse the same way it didn’t work out so well!!!

I’ve watched all of these videos showing this method but none of them make it clear whether the choke is in or out when they do it. Can you clarify please.

That is so cool. I’ll try it on the three Stihl saws I have. I’ll try it on my Poulon as well. But I bet it won’t work on my electric one.

I told my son to watch this video and if he could start it I would double his allowance, he looked at me and just walked away!☮✌🏻

Do you remember the name of the push lawn mower that had a wind up crank starter, you wound the crank then pushed a button and it would crank over and start, my neighbor had one when I was a kid. Pretty neat.

Yeah, it’s commonly found on the 181 CBE

I actually thought you were showing us how to use a squirt of gas or starting fluid in the carburetor to make it start.

This only works if you have the piston return spring feature.

I have a 1935 Henway for sale. Wanna buy it?

This is called EASY2START and is a completely different starter system which stores your pull onto the spring. The elasto start is only a bumper for your comfort, has nothing to do with it. Of the Stihl saws I've handled and own, NONE have the EASY2START.

Now how many people just ran out and tried this?
