In WW1 officers would pick their own operation names which were sometimes frivolous. They switched to random names after a general pointed out he didn't want to have to announce men had died in Operation Silly Trousers or somesuch.

The dead man also was a poor person who may have eaten rat poison as he had to get his meals from dumpsters.
I believe he was buried with military honors after the operation.
