Cyclists ignoring pedestrians at zebra crossing

Not only do they ride over a crossing, they undertake and overtake just to get ahead. This is so dangerous.

When my Wife was 8 months Pregnant we were walking half way over a crossing when a Cyclist rode across like those Muppets. I knocked him off his bike onto his arse.

They obey the traffic laws only when it's in their interest too, and yell when they think you get in their way as they break the rules

I've nearly been KILLED by a cyclist doing this at full dash right outside the law courts up Strand. The whole traffic had stopped to let me cross the zebra n this twat thought he shouldn't hav to n missed me by a inch. He then stared at me as he carried on LIKE I'D DONE SOMETHING WRONG!!! I flipped my shit. I no violent guy but I did offer him to ruck right there n then. He jus shook his head like a gimp as he cycled off. That was 11 yrs ago n still gets me sik to this day!!!

Those cyclists are probably the same people who frighten the life out of all other road users when they take their own cars on the road.
It's not about drivers or cyclists, it is about ignorant, incompetent road abusers who are not fit to be on 2 or 4 wheels.

Cyclist really do have a bad name for some reason they think everyone should give way to them.
And I personally have cycled for hundreds of of miles with total respect for other road users

This is because a lot of cyclists are utterly ignorant and arrogant and don't believe any road rules apply to them, this attitude is coupled to a complete lack of legal enforcement by the police.

This term 'cyclist' is problematic, it categories me in with muppets like her. She's no more a cyclist than I am a mountaineer when I put on my boots bought in Mountain Warehouse. She's a pedestrian on a Boris Bike. She's a human commuting on a bike. She's not a 'cyclist'. A cyclist has the hobby of cycling and does so in their leisure time. She's no cyclist, she's a hire bike user. Don't associate me with her actions because I like 99% of cyclists would not act like this.

Cyclists - it should be a law now to ride on the road they need to have a road safty awareness classes and some kind of licence etc ?

Cyclists should have a registration number that's clearly readable and a certificate of insurance. Then jumping red lights, failing to stop at a pedestrian crossing etc should result in a fine that's applicable to the offence.

The only way to improve this behaviour is to issue bikes with reg plates and licence riders.
