I’m looking at this recap and I’m glad I haven’t watched Heartland since the end of season 13. The series has become about Tim, Lou and Peter. Funny when Graham was on, those 3 were no more than secondary roles . Now they are the lead roles. I can’t see this series continuing with them . Heartland has lost its way. And how funny that who ever is in charge is continuing to try and get a relationship for Amy. You can put whoever you want, but it will never be Ty(Graham Wardle). Can never duplicate the success they had.

I don’t think they necessarily need to go to church, but they all sit around the dinner table and I would love to see them hold hands and say grace! I suspect they may loose part of their fans, the only thing I can think of.

I hope malory and jake make repeated visits. I would like to get an update on Ty's mom Lily, Val Stanton, Ashley Stanton, and Soriya..Amy's long time best frnd. We haven't seen her since season 8 at the wedding. Tim should have never sold Big River Ranch.

YES it would be refreshing to have periodic reference to traditional church interaction or Seasonal church scenes such as Easter, Christmas, and other activities like a bazaar or other community fundraising.

I keep seeing in the comments people saying that they are disappointed, that they don’t go to church in the show. I hope most of you realize that this show is produced by CBC, not the Up faith & family channel. In fact that’s not where the show even started, it just moved to that channel in 2010. The show has never been faith based whatsoever. They talk about God every blue moon but religion or anything dealing with that has never been central theme of the show and never has been. It’s about the Horses, ranch life, life in a small but charming town, the people that make up that town and the central characters (mainly Amy).

Season 16 just ended in in the US. Season 17 has already started in airing in Canada? I can't wait for Season 17!!!

I just want to point out that Sam said this other party made a tremendous offer BUT he didn't say he took their offer. I think Sam values his friendship more than money. I guess episode 2 will see if I am correct

Bring Graham Wardle back he is Amy's one true love. Ty has been there for Amy since 2007.

I loved Ty, but it is way past due for Amy to find someone. Although I hope it is not the new guy shown in season 16. Love to see more of Mallory, Georgie and Lisa. I like Katie’s storyline.

I understand that Amy needs to move on, but the way they did it in season 16 was wrong and it was dishonor and teaching people wrong things.
