Hoka Mach X2

First miles in the Mach X2. This shoe still confuses me. I don’t think it’s better than a Mach. It doesn’t feel anything like a Mach. It just feels like a completely different kind of shoe.
The peba top layer is a bit firm it there’s a responsiveness there. The combo foam system here overall reminds me a lot of the Enerzy Lite+ foam in the Wave Rebellion Pro 2.The wings on the hardened Peba plate isn’t really noticeable and I’m surprised it doesn’t feel more firm, given the way it looks. It’s a pretty decent shoe, but it’s not for me.

Heavier runner here (230lbs) Was really stoked about this shoe but the cushion/midsole was rather lacking for me. No issues with the heel just a disappointment for the reaction/cushioning

Currently trying out and undecided between 2 plated trainers: Hoka Mach x2 and deviate nitro 3
Although I have my preferences, I’ve never added shoes into my rotation without first watching the review from BITR and kofuzi
Most anticipated kofuzi review for me personally

Like the design of hoka shoes but there foam don’t do much for me as a larger guy there ok for first 30-40 miles then they bottom out, just not for me I guess I’ll stick to ASICS or saucony they fit my foot shape better

love the shoe and its energy return, but im having heel blisters just from running a 1mile trynna breaking in the shoe idk what to do now
