Agreed. I'm a rank beginner - accent on "rank" - who has no interest in learning to read music. Can you recommend any chord books? Everything I look at on Amazon seems to have drawbacks to it.

I originally learned how to read classical music. Now I am trying to learn chord charts. For me, reading notes is much easier as it does not require memorization. I hope that once I get comfortable with chord notations that will become easier, but for now memorizing all the chords in various scales seems daunting.
