You know how good Ateez is when other idols' covers just don't do justice...

I'm not a dancer. What I've realized from this compilation is this. The people who covered Ateez followed the choreography, but every member of Ateez adds their special touch that gives it life. Case and point San's Smoke challenge. He took the choreography and made it own.

It's so weird, I dunno what it is, but watching other Kpop idols do the same dance routines doesn't have the same feel as when Ateez does it. It's like the energy, that 'spark' is missing, so Ateez's performances are uniquely Ateez's and can't be replicated. When they dance, it's out of this world even without the fancy lights and costumes.

I think why a lot of people fall short on doing Covers of ATEEZ songs, specifically INCEPTION, is that they think it's only a Generic Love song. When its not (I mean, it can be) but the song and video is about their Passions. They are in love with their Goals (Dreams) (and it ties into their lore) so they tend to perform Inception like a Love song when you should be performing it, like it's your last chance to achieve your dreams. San even mentioned in a live with Hwa, that he put a lot into the acting of Inception.

This goes for a lot of ATEEZ songs too, I'm guessing that people just assume they are just "hype" songs and forget the real message and meaning behind the songs. Hongjoong himself have said that each comback, each stage, is a message, a story being told.

What I'm trying to say is, I think all of them here did a good job (E'LAST slayed, I should check out their songs) (except for the ones that changed thanxx- why e'LAST, I was rooting for u😭- n the ones that made wonderland an xmas song- like what was that💀 their producers should never touch music again) but they missed out on a chance to bring a message or tell a story with the covers. Add their own energy and make it stand out. But whatever, I'm just a stranger on the internet with ATEEZ as my Ult, so I'm probably biased.

No one is a bigger Atiny than the entirety of E’Last, especially Wonhyuk, our dear fan club president.

They are all so good but whenever I see groups that are not ateez perform their songs I feel like they are missing a step or energy, or they try to look cute/handsome when that's not even the point of the song, some songs you are SUPPOSED to look a little bit crazy and let the music flow into you without caring how you look

That slowed down version of thanxx should be illegal 💀

I love how E’Last are the biggest Atiny. They were so happy to meet Ateez backstage and was so proud to receive a copy of Ateez’s Fever album.

Kudos to all of them, but Hot Issue and Dreamcatcher captured my heart the most! It's nice to see Ateez being appreciated <3

There are some pretty decent covers in here, like Alexa I wasn't expecting but she got it, probably because she is kinda kooky and weird herself so flinging her hair around and pulling faces is normal for her. Blitzers also did HALA justice, P1h too. The ATBO soloist made me cringe but as a group the energy was there. E'last and NewKidd are obviously Atiny and some of them truly understood the assignment, it's a shame some of the others were too stiff and focused on the 'dance and look pretty' agenda that isn't Ateez at all. Dreamcatcher too, I kind of expected to do well as they share a mutual sound and strong performance style.

Honestly, I can see how many tried but it just didn't work. I am glad that people are recognising the impact of Ateez though, and I would rather support infinite numbers of bad covers because it's good to see the influence of the 8 on late 4th and 5th gen idols.

Honestly missing Craxys guerrilla cover here is a crime. Good video overall though.

I think the take away is: if you're going to cover an ATEEZ song, choose carefully. Most idols are going to be better off doing songs like Wave and Answer because the choreo isn't as far from what they normally do. DejaVu switches quickly between fluid sensuous moves and fast paced technical moves. HalaHala leans krump. Less experienced dancers just can't pull those off well. Same thing with vocals, make sure someone can belt Jongho's notes in the song you pick.

El de Weekly es muy: ¿OMG?
Actúan de manera tierna y me confundió por tener un enorme contraste con Wonderland original, JAJKAKSJS.
