Are you traveling by air for the first time? Or perhaps you haven't traveled in years? This video will guide you through the steps to have a successful airport experience. The first in my Beginner Traveler series, I go over the ways you can make going through the airport much less stressful. I cover online check-in, baggage tags, boarding passes, airport security and boarding procedures.

If you'd like to help me get through the hours of filming and editing it takes to get these videos published, you can buy me a coffee (or a glass of wine) here...it will be greatly appreciated!!:

Small tip... Take a printed boarding pass with you too. You can save the file as a pdf (go to print and change the printer option to pdf) also and keep that on your phone too. You can't have too many back ups. Do the same with your e-ticket.

As a season traveler, this is one of the best guides out there for beginners on Youtube.

Not going on vacation until December but I haven’t travel since 2019… and I will my flying just me and my bf. We’re 20 and never gone on a plane without our parents 😂 so I was freaking out about how we navigate the airport. This helped a lot and will be referring back to this video in December. Thank for the great video 👍🏻

I haven't been on an airplane since I was 10 years old. We leave in the morning! I have watched SO MANY video's and this is the most informative one I have watched. Thanks!

Awesome video!
Here is a brief guide:

Booking: Book your flight online or through a travel agency.

Check-in: Arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international flights. Check-in at the airline counter or use self-service kiosks.

Baggage: Drop off checked baggage if you have any. Make sure it meets size and weight restrictions.

Security: Proceed to security screening. Follow guidelines regarding liquids, electronics, and removing outer layers.

Boarding Pass: Receive your boarding pass after check-in. It can be printed or electronic.

Boarding: Listen for announcements or monitor the departure boards for boarding information. Board the plane when your group is called.

Seat: Find your assigned seat. If unsure, check your boarding pass or ask a flight attendant for assistance.

Stow Baggage: Place carry-on items in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you.

Safety: Pay attention to the safety demonstration and follow instructions from the crew.

Enjoy Your Flight: Sit back, relax, and enjoy your journey!

Thank you and remember to be kind!

First time flying in many years. The info about arriving according to boarding time was great. Of all the videos have watched this is the first time I have heard that. Thanks for this great information.

Although I have done air travel several times, it's always good to review procedures and tips & hacks. You can always learn something or refresh your memory. I love the tip about taking a photo of where you parked. It's easy to forget what part of a large lot you used.
Maybe also take a picture of your car, in case something happens to it while you are gone? The parking company probably will not accept any responsibility, but it might help with insurance claims or whatever you pursue. Evidence that it wasn't damaged when you parked it.
Thanks for making good useful videos.

As a Gen Xer I literally stopped scrolling search results when I saw your name lol. I've always traveled with people but this year and moving forward I will be doing most of my traveling solo so it's a whole new experience for me. I'm looking forward to watching your content to make sure I know what I'm doing. 😂
