I have this system with the dedicated sc-m39 speakers... I'd attached my old Bose 301 series II speakers and was blowed away by this combination, it's just perfect, fyi

I bought the rcdm39 with a pair of dali zensor 1s. Can I download FLAC s and play them via a optical toslink ( I think it' s called) cable? so i run them on my pc or smartphone for example. Also, via the digital input, is there a big difference between the 320 kb mp3 files and FLACs? Thanks already ! :)

I have a question. I own this hifi but it seems to do something strange when using the USB port.

When I put some music on the USB stick/hard drive it's all in alphabetical order. Now, if I put some more music on the USB and go and plug it in again I know notice that the newly added music is on the end of the list, not in alphabetical order.

Any way to stop it doing this? It seems to be doing it in date order or just the last you put on which is no good!

Have you guys reviewed the new dm40 dab? Would it be a big difference in sound that 39DAB?

I have one and the mp3/wma sound as good as Cd thanks to the internal DAC. I wonder if it is possible to play loseless files from the ipod. I know it's not possible from the usb stick so I wonder if the ipod is any different for the denon. However I can play 96khz/24 bit audio files from pc via digital in.

Copper is a better conductor, but not when it has oxidised. Silver solder is preferred for this reason.

Get these with Dali Zensor 1 speakers to get the best sound.No need for a sub woofer.

Actualy i prefer that. I realy don't want the main unit to deal with the User Interface for Media Streamer. No one in the audiophile industry has done a decent job, mostly terrible so far. The great thing about this just plug in a computer, streaming box, Squeezebox via Toslink. That way you get super clean signal and utilize the quality 24Bit DAC in this micro unit. It's the same how I really hate smart TVs. I just buy Professional Display panels and plug in a HTCP. Much better quality.
