For $2, 000+, you'd think the metals would be silver or platinum, not stainless steel. I'd even settle for Tungsten since it is very difficult to scratch over stainless steel.

It’s almost impossible to talk about “value” across income brackets. It never goes well and will never be resolved. When a wealthy person chooses to drive a Jaguar instead of a Honda only to take them from A to B. Even talking to people who prefer buying generic products like toilet paper when they ask you why you’re wasting money on Charmin. From comic books to sport cars to eyeglasses to Apple Watches, products are “worth” what the people who buy them are willing to pay.

Tbh for that price, I'm just gonna buy myself an actual watch lol. You could get a nice automatic timepiece that you can actually own for a lifetime for that money, and it would probably look better too lmao
