Founded in 2001 by business partners, Mario Tabraue and Maria Tabraue, the Zoological Wildlife Foundation (ZWF Miami) is an organization accredited by the Zoological Association of America, which serves as a zoo, preservation and conservation facility. ZWF Miami is dedicated to preserving and protecting animals as well as educating the public about rare and endangered animal species in captivity and in the wild.
Located south of Miami, ZWF Miami is home to more than 150 animals, such as domestic animals, leopards, big cats, primates, large predatory birds and mammals to dozens of exotic species, most of which are available for interactive encounters with the public.
ZWF Miami is best known for their small, private tours of the facility, which are offered daily by appointment and can often be customized to include encounters and photo sessions with many of the animals at the facility.
