Even 1st yellows should be checked at some point IMO, not with a view to being reversed, but to be taken into account when deciding on any red card.

The 1st Jefte yellow was really soft, but the VAR must at the very least check 2nd yellows (and preferably both yellows). I mean Jefte could've committed a yellow card offense for his 2nd yellow, and been innocent for the 1st (ie the other way round)

The 2nd yellow must be checked, and preferably all yellows should be checked during the gameb so that 2 valid yellow cards are needed to send someone off.

And perhaps single yellows could even be reversed when VAR have a chance a to review them...

Whatever, something needs done.

And if the game had gone to extra time, as that takes into account both legs of the game, red card dismissals not apply for in extra time? I mean, why red card in a 1st leg is not carried over to affect the number of players on the pitch in extra time after the 2nd leg.
