I know why YouTube "photographers" like to bash Nikon. Because Nikon unlike Sony and Canon doesn't invite them to fancy events and vaccations, doesn't give them tons of gear for free and doesn't lick their feet. Nikon do that to real professional photographers that uses Nikon in their work (like nikon ambassadors). And that pisses the YouTubers off...buhubuhu

Nikon will be fine. They are simply reorganizing the company to be more efficient in hard financial times. Many companies have had to make hard choices large and small through these times. There is no doubt that nikon puts out great high quality products and their image quality and files are legendary. As a z6ii owner I am more than pleased with the camera and it is stunning the files it produces. Video is beautiful and auto focus is phenomenal with the 1.10 updates. It is not perfect. Canon and Sony have better auto focusing systems no doubt, but I say nikons glass bodies and files are better. Using wide area large s is a great work around. And I expect continuous to improve with future updates.

I know reviewers and YouTube channels thrive off what's the big new thing, but saying no one wants another f mount lens sounds very much like saying everyone is on mirrorless. I know mirrorless is in the process of replacing DSLRs, but many people still use them, and most people probably can't justify moving to mirrorless yet.

Also, the constant asking for professional glass, I know it's nice, but 90% of people aren't professional. Most of the population would probably be happier with new affordable entry level gear, like a z30 and native glass that isn't hundreds or thousands of dollars. Most people anyways, not necessarily current professional photographers

Hi, I'm a newby to photography and started watching this channel after I got my first camera a d5600. It's been really discouraging to constantly hear Nikon get bashed. Makes me feel like the equipment I have is sub-par even though I'm always happy with it's results. So maybe quit being so negative and toxic. It's not welcoming for people new to the hobby.

Nikon stock is up 10% and they just won a shit ton of awards at the German Foto Community awards beating out both Sony and Canon in lenses and cameras. But Jared wont tell you about that...

Most youtuber camera people really don’t have a realistic grasp on the “ real world” of photography....99% of individuals out there are not rocking brand new $6k mirrorless cameras they are still using DSLR cameras and are on limited budgets

Reading through some of the comments and Jared's replies. It show that Jared totally despises Nikon. The flavour of his comments are.. Why use Nikon when Canon and Sony are better. I don't know what his deal is but not everyone uses Sony/Canon or has the money to change systems on the fly. At least Manny is more constructive now instead of being totally bias.

Jared, i enjoy your content (a lot), but i can't recall the last video that you forget to tell us about that crappy autofocus in Nikon, and you know how many times it made me think that my Nikons are bad cameras... 0 times. (And not being near as good as Sony's, doesnt make that autofocus a crap for 99.99% of the photographers (or the ppl that uses cameras that maybe can't be called a photographer as me) of the world).

I think it’s safe to say worldwide, unless you are in leading pharmaceutical companies or into daily commodities businesses, there has to be some layoffs or restructuring of some sorts. Would not call it negative news - it’s just how the world has become and I prefer some form of containment as and when, versus if a company outright head into liquidation and bankruptcy.

Keeping my wonderful Nikon DSLR and scooping up some great used lenses while people with way more money than me go mirrorless. For the price of a new mirrorless camera and associated lenses I can keep myself in older gear for years to come. The great thing about Nikon is the quality. I am hard on gear and my Nikon camera and lenses take the abuse.
