The fact that we had literally zero warning from officials is terrible. 8 years in nyc, I’ve never seen the ENTIRE subway get shutdown with no warning in a matter of minutes. Just bad management-natural disaster or not. Also-same old story.

A. At some point, all Americans should recognize that in their country, politicians aren't really left or right. In my opinion, they'll use those labels publicly.

Behind closed doors though, this is like a game for them generally, and their citizens are just pawns being used consistently to fight against one another.

B. The idea that the governor was somehow blindsided is laughable.

As non-politicians watching the storm coverage before landfall, we all observed media outlets basically yelling from the rooftops regarding its seriousness.

Yet, we're supposed to believe that the governor didn't receive this same information? 🥴

NY should spend several billion dollars on an outside firm to study what happened and write a report. Then they can appoint a committee to study the report, and make recommendations which will cost several billion dollars.
