I can only imagine the great music we've missed out on because he died at such a young age. RIP Jim & thank you for this beautiful & uplifting song! ❤

Every musical note every lyric is just so. The guy's a genius and we really lost something special when he died

It was a posthumous hit for Croce, after his plane crash in 1973. Great artist.

When this song played on the radio my parents would never have to say "don't make me pull this car over!" because we were too busy singing along to be acting up. God, I miss those days.

Another great folk rock singer songwriter who we lost so young. This is the music I grew up with. Unique storyteller & ballad singer. He touches your soul. He had a lot of great hits in his short career. "Photographs & Memories", "Time In A Bottle", "Operator", "Bad Bad, Leroy Brown", "You Don't Mess Around With Jim", "Workin' At The Car Wash Blues, " "I'll Have To Say I Love You In A Song" etc.

This song is always a tough one for me to listen to. It was actually released on the day of his death September 20, 1973. I heard about the plane crash that took him on the radio. It was sad because he was just becoming somewhat popular with a couple of songs from the "You Don't Mess Around With Jim" album. I bought this album the day afterwards. It contains a collection of great songs. I hope y'all will dig a little deeper into his music. It's a collection of gems.🤘😎❤

I had to stop by for a listen, I was a kid when this played on the radio. I'm surprised how many words I remember lol. AM Radio loved Jim Croce. If you want more story tellers, check out Harry Chapin "Taxi". It's a true gem.

Jim was part the soundtrack of my high school years! Brings back so many memories of the ‘70’s. So sad he died so tragically in 1973. 💔

Jim Croce was one of my favorite singer songwriters ever... I think all of our hearts sank a little bit when he passed away... It was such a shock... He just had a streak of hits and he even had 1 more song come out after he passed away... I was going into the military at that time and I remember how I felt I found out that he passed away... Anyway this is a good rabbit hole to go down if you want to... He had so many great songs... Thank you for reacting to this song... Keep being awesome !!!...

God, the lead in to the second verse, when you hear the strings and the line "Like the north wind whistleing down the sky".. gets me choked up every time.

I love Jim Croce. Had 4 or 5 of his albums. I know all his songs by heart. As a teen, I listened to them over and over. His lyrics and music were incredible.
