Try the 3dr solo, you would be surprised, no distortions in video is one thing that's different

Isnt that panning "distortion" solved via a nd filter..? less shutter speed gives smoother motion

Love my P3! ND filters might help video studder. Also, don't calibrate the compass near ANY metal.

Yeah, I'll stick to building my own. Still I will be glad when the optical flow sensor are more prevalent in the open source flight controllers like the Naze32. Though I really don't need optical flow much, I'm more of a 250mm race quad guy myself.

You are doing the compass calibration quite incorrectly. what made you think that the UAV was to be held in that orientation?

Just a small note: The label for the footage of the Bebop Drone is "DJI Bebop" when it should say "Parrot Bebop"
