Looks great. The client should put a fence out back that you can see through to take advantage of that view.

DIY BEWARE:
1) Spa/Jacuzzi/Hot tub slabs need to be grounded and bonded. Of course, the unit itself will be wired with ground, but the unit should be bonded with the metal (rebar/6x6x10mesh) in the slab. Check with your building dept. before pouring your pad. Save yourself from a potential nightmare. Research Equal Potential Grounding.
2) Don't pour directly on the dirt. Get a few inches of gravel in there and compact it so your slab is structural. Also, consider doing 6" turndowns around the perimeter. Your slab should be a finished 4".

it is better to give the work floor plastic before casting, so that the cement water does not fall and does not shrink quickly for the concrete.

You dont need to put 3/4 gravel down first? I thought gravel has to be put down? Hmmm

I did not see any leveling. Is it necessary for a concrete slab for a hot tub?

Is the steel reinforcement grid essential for a hot tub base? Also, i see you didn't have a compacted hardcore base?

Question, I’m getting ready to do my first DIY pour for a Swim Spa. 10’ x 16’ x 6”. I plan to do it in three sections. Harbor Freight mixer. 1/2” rebar 2 1/2” off the bottom. I will notch my divider for the rebar. Will the two cold joints suffice for relief cuts, or should I cut them in after it cures?
