Top 5 Tips for Better Stage Presence

A lot of people think that Stage Presence is something you have or you don't. IT'S NOT TRUE. When I started playing live music, I had the stage presence of a very majestic rock. after a few years of playing I was able to develop my presence on the stage and you can too!

Another tip: think of the audience in zones. Acknowledge the back of the room first; the people up front will feel acknowledged because they're close and you're more likely to interact with them by default. Get used to walking and playing/singing and going to different parts of the stage.

Cool tips but you’d have to tailor your presence based on genre of music. This works for rock, punk, etc. But you can’t picture movements with a darker sound and ambiance of music.

I mostly play at churches so some of that I'm not sure what they would do however, whenever I'm not playing my guitar I definitely put it behind me and pray my straplocks hold. I've only had them fail once...

i guess it might depend on the style of music but johnny cash did just fine without doing most everything you suggest . there are many examples i could name { one that comes to mind is MOTORHEAD}, the main thing is to connect with the audience and have something they want to hear.
