How to recover a project back-up in Davinci Resolve?

In this Davinci resolve tutorial, I'll share with you how to access your project save history so you can easily restore a previous version of your project.

Davinci seriously need to solve their project backups (Every save should be backed up for weeks atleast) Editors hrs of work are gonna be damaged. It really hurts the creators. It ruined my day.

So it turns out Project Backup isn't on by default. At least now I know how I can fix it next time. But for today.... bummer....

i was editing something, when davinci started to lag alot, and i still have no clue why, so, i tried to undo whatever i had done, but it continued to lag, so i saved my project, tried to delete a clip i had just added, i had accidentally also selected the first part of my video that i had just finished editing, so it got deleted too, i tried to undo the delete, it didn't work, so, seeing as i had just saved the project, i thought i could close davinci and open the project again, turns out davinci saves your project whenever you close the window. So i just lost 8 hours because of that.

any answr if the project dont have backups? and was set on live save? and tha list is clean? ... I had a open project, delete a time line then saved as other name closed the prject and switch back to ...TADA!! The biggest newby error in the life... two same projects with diferents name, live save is not that handy in this case

This is a nice tutorial and it will help me in the future so thank you. Sadly it didn't work this time though. There is no backup despite me saving it previously many times AND not saving it when I closed it trying to revert the problem I had, this stinks. Guess you have to dig in the settings and enable this feature first. I don't know what I did wrong but a large portion of the edits I made a couple days ago and today disappeared from my timeline and one clip I had finished editing that I was super proud of. Lost about four hours of work. The weirdest part is the edits I did yesterday are still there I don't get how that's even possible I was just trying to move clips and ctrl+z then all my color work and object tracking from a couple days ago is gone I don't know how I accomplished that

This will not work for me. Nothing shows up in project selection window. I am new to Davinci Resolve. Why is "live save" an option?!?!?!?! UUGHHH!!!! Are you SERIOUS? I had no clue this was on. I did a bunch of work, and I needed to go back and fix one thing. I fixed it, and it automatically saved over a file that had a different name to begin with. I may have to redo my project. Who comes up with this rubbish?

I have backup files from one day before but when I open up backups as you suggest only files from today show up, even though I can see a bunch of backup files from yesterday at the finder level. Any idea how to get to those backups?

What if the project does not exist in the database i.e. you worked on it for hours without saving once

How to restore a project that was deleted, like you have it in Davinci project backups and Localbase, but davinci doesn't recognize it or doesn't see it. How do you fix that?

Bro a huge part of my project cut in front of my eyes, ctrl+z didn't work so I just exited and it freaking auto saved for me and then now I have nothing in my project backup.. THANKS DAVINCI

I accidentally deleted some clips edited on davinci resolve (both video and audio). Is the process always the same?

There is a similar menu when you click on the timeline. I found my saves there..

worked 6 hours on a project, got to the goddamn end part like 2 minutes and it crashes on me. end my suffering, send a hitman or smthn i dont wanna exist any further

I have no backups. I saved the project like 5 seconds before accidentally closing the timeline and exiting out. My day is actually ruined, I just lost hours my entire project I've spent hours on.
