Today I am making a fresh water drink that is perfect for the Spring or Summer weather. This is agua fresca de pepino or fresh cucumber water. The ratios of the ingredients are very forgiving and depend on your taste. Whether you like is sweet or with out sugar is up to you. This definitely is refreshing!

3 medium to large cucumbers
6 to 7 cups cold water
1/3 cup to 1/2 cup sugar (or to taste)
The juice of 1 medium lime or lemon
Serve cold over ice

Yum! I do have some cucumbers in the fridge that need to be used! A suggestion. You can make a sugar syrup by dissolving the sugar in part of the water you are going to use (like a cup is fine). Just boil and stir in the sugar until dissolved, then mix into your agua fresca. You won't have to worry about the sugar settling on the bottom!

Accidentally mistook a pair of zucchini for cucumbers😅 added a bit of sugar and the juice and zest from a lime and it came out really tasty and refreshing!

We have cantaloupe so I’m thinking about making this with a bit of cantaloupe blended in for a cucumber melon drink!
