Wrap your sandwich in a paper towel before putting it in a baggie or container, that will keep it from getting soggy

My son was about 2 learning to walk, I took wife and her best friend with our son to a beach about 2 hour’s drive, I made 4 different sandwiches, egg mayo, ham and cheese with tomato, roast beef, and cucumber with scrambled eggs, made about 20 sandwiches so about 2 loafs of bread, took me awhile but it was worth it seeing him enjoying the water.

But damn I got up at 5 am to prep everything, this is what parenthood is

Meanwhile, I'm in New Orleans, sending this method to all my friends packing parade sandwiches for Mardi Grad

I would add lettuce! And honestly I would usually add thin slices of tomato & pray it doesn’t get soggy lol. Looks tasty 😊

No need to lightly toast. Put a thin layer of butter or margarine on the inner side of the bread slices. This keeps any moisture leaking into the bread and prevents them from getting soggy.

Thin, THIN layer of butter, condiments between the lettuce and meat. No soggy sammies.
Creates a little barrier.

Slightly toast or however toasted you like it after you make it before you pack it! Makes it so delicious for later and I’ve found it doesn’t get soggy as fast! You could also pat dry the meats or slightly fry them

I would do slider melts! Pepper jack cheese, pastrami or roast beef, kewpie and thousand island dressing on a hawaiian slider bun with a side of cole slaw! my go to super bowl food, comforting for victory or defeat!

This is how I do sandwiches. Daves killer bread. Sriracha and mayo on both pieces!! Then three pieces of meat folded. Either pepperjack or provolone-enough to cover one layer. Single slice lettuce. Tomatoes sliced thin. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and oregano on tomatoes. Three strips of bacon. Pickles or pickled jalapeños. Hot red pepper relish. Choice of onions sliced thin. I make my husband this for lunch every day and it is incredible.

As a sandwich legend, one of my best tricks is to put a layer of mayo then pesto on both sides of the bread

Lisa put butter or margarine on the bread before you put on mayo, helps it not absorb into bread…and use Mississippi honey mustard as well, you’ll thank me 😊

I love the red onion on there so good 😋 I think that is mayo on the sammich so I would've put deli paper in with the foil because mayo can be a little greasy. Lettuce for a mild crunch and goes great with onion. Salt, pepper, other seasoning and voila 😋

If I was given a sandwich with that much mayo I'd cry 😂😂😂 but I'm sure she asked her friends what type of condiments they do and don't like

I put spanich or lettuce leaves ( I make sure they are dry after I clean them) between the bread and the stuffing

I like getting a bag of chicken tenders from the grocery store and sandwiching the tenders between a King's Hawaiian Sweet Roll with a slice of provolone cheese, a slice of ham, and a squirt of Chipotle Aïoli Sauce.

When I was younger I would go to work with my mom fruit harvesting and most days we'd take burritos or sandwiches. I always made them the same but just wrapped it in a paper towel and then put in a sandwich bag or wrapped in tin foil. I would make sure that the tomatoes were not touching the bread and that usually did it for me. So flavorful after a few hours though 😋

When I do sauce or pickles anything that will make the break sooty I usually put cheese on the sides like you did then add the wet ingredients in between the folds of meat for extra precaution

I’m Australian and we always butter our bread when we make sandwiches. Moving to the US and seeing how Americans make sandwiches without butter always makes the sandwiches seem dry, especially the bread. When I make sandwiches out here in US everyone really loves them and ask me what makes them so nice, I say butter. 😊And butter does not make them soggy, even if not eaten straight away.
