Bigger tires would be a real bonus. An option between AWD and 4 x 4 would be a dream come true.

how long did it take ford to get an AWD van ? their company is in Michigan where it snows and has bad weather, engineers and executives are useless

They should have a option with the vehicle lifted a little more for all-wheel drive.

what's the gas mileage on that vehicle?

Ford‘s awd system is often underrated.
I‘m a huge fan. But still a bit disappointed Ford does not offer an awd for the Transit Custom. (At least not over here in europe.)
A custom trail with awd would definitely make a lot of VW Bulli hardcore fans switch to Ford.

Would have been nice to have rear diff-lock option like vw offer on their vans.

I would like to buy a Ford Transit RV, so I need to know the behavior of this vehicle:
-On a snowy slope?
-In the sand of a beach?
-On unstable stones?
... in order to know whether I buy a AWD or a 2 wheels drive that I would make tranform in 4x4 by Quadvan or by Quigley.

Is there a difference with the normal European AWD version or has it an lsd like the Trail as well?

I can't believe we're finally getting a another awd van (sprinter) I remember winter being around for a long time and people needing vans as long as vans have been out but better late then never 🤷

The fact that the AWD version is the same height as the 2WD version is a huge disappointment. I suggest that the vast majority of those choosing the AWD will want more ground clearance as it will likely be used in mild off-road situations. My first thought is to lift it 2" and get some larger tires on it.

The MSRP on those is around $42, 000 for the low roof 2wd. Not sure what the AWD adds to the price.
