We're getting to the time when summer bass fishing gets tough. You may hear this time of year referred to as "Junk Fishing". I put three different lures/rigs to work in today's video. Each one had it's time and place for the day!

Love it when the perfect cast works out like that!

A Day without a Frog is like a Day without Sunshine Pilgrim… I take way too much stuff and get stuck just throwing the same stuff and may be my reason for failure on my trips. Great video my friend thank you.

I finally got some topwater action on a popper. Fishing has been tough this year for some reason.

Hey Debo, on the skip cast on the frog!!! YAAAA!!! Haven’t been throwing the frog as much as I should be since the popper has been the deal. You’ve rejuvenated me. Let’s GOOOO!!! 💪👊

Good day. Sorry to hear about your three lost rigs. That seems to be going around. There was a comment on another channel where someone said they lost a rig into the river. I didn't lose one recently, but I do have a Daiwa Presso that I sent in due to what I'm hoping will be a warranty replacement due to a broken tip. Only my second broken rod tip while fishing in 40 plus years of fishing. I think the way they are shipping rods now might have a little something to do with some broken tip issues. I saw some reviews on a St. Croix rod where several folks were getting them in the mail with broken tips and damaged boxes. Wow. This got off of subject fast. Sorry. Enjoyed the out-tro and your advice on taking some different rigs out with different lures on them. Very important for me always, but especially in the early Fall. Blessings!

Dope video deebo it’s been tough as of late the dog days of summer right before fall transition is a tricky time to fish. Either way you always put out amazing content and it’s much appreciated. Tight lines my friend stay safe out there.

Might be worth it to try some mono for leader line on your spinning rod. I use 6lb braid on my bfs and 10lb on my spinning. Usually use sunline super natural mono for leaders. 10lb and 8lb when its warm and 6lb in the winter. Line is super soft and super thin but has landed some great fish for me. Like 10 bucks for 300 yards. Just a thought. I use more mono for leaders simply to absorb some of the shock from setting the hook. I do use flouro on my baitcasting besides the huge swimbaits but that is a whole different convo.

Hey man, I’m scratching my head about you said, “don’t be locked in on a certain way of fishing, it’s transitioning into fall, it’s all about junk fishing but don’t beat yourself up if you can’t lock it down on 1 thing, bring a few combos and rotate through them to see what the bite is going to be. Caught a couple on a snake, frog and turtle but you don’t know why.” Sometimes anglers just keep beating themselves up and they don’t even know why for whatever reasons. Can you clarify what you mean by saying this.
