Nice job adapting the QC tool post to your lathe. I put one on mine also but now and then I find the lantern tool post lets me work closer on some things or makes it easier to get to the spot I need to cut so it is held in standby and still used often.

Nice to see you back at it! The addition of the qctp is in my opinion the best upgrade one can do to these old lathes. Absolutely love mine!

I like it. That white paint turned out great.

Nice job Jeff, you beat me to it I got my quick change about two weeks ago but have not had the time to make a video about the fitting the nut to the compound slide. Hopefully this weekend, that if I can get caught up and finish the other projects this week after work. Damn that's a nasty four letter word ending in K.

newb question, what size QCTP is that? Do you find Shars to be of good quality?

Great video nice tool post aswel ! I use a multi fix but only because that best suits my nature of work . But then again you can make your own tool holders a lot easier !!

Great video. I have a Southbend 10K and recently purchased a Shares quick change tool holder as a result of your video. Now for the T Nut...would you mind sharing the dimensions of the nut you made? I need to have one made also. Thanks, Keith

You make Fusion 360 look like fun.  Everyone else makes it look like a pain in the rear.  Thank you.

Are you still happy with the 704 or do you feel the need for a larger machine yet?
