Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, or commonly known as Mahatma Gandhi, was one of the popular political personality of 20th century, and his legacy still continues. He is also christened as the 'Father of the Nation' in India. He is regarded as the most prominent freedom fighter of India against the British colonial empire. On the other hand, there are very less references of other freedom fighters in history books; even if there are mentions, they can be regarded as cursory at best. We may wonder what is so special about Gandhi to get him such extensive coverage, or, were the prominent historians had a little amnesia?

Excellent presentation on India, indian independence and role of Gandhi ji. People must watch this presentation and let Gandhi ji fade away in to oblivion since the in-depth study proves that his role in Indian independence was minimal as was rightly pointed out by the then British Prime Minister Atlee who apparently said that the role played by Gandhi was minimal. It has been rightly expressed in the presentation that in post independent India 100s of pages have been devoted to Gandhi-Nehru and Congress in school NCRT books but other freedom fighter have almost nill mention.
True, it is time that Gandhi-Nehru must fade away peacefully before their status are pulled down or names withdrawn from important institutions, structures, welfare schemes and history books after critical evaluation of their role in Indian independence movement and making of India after that by the general public in india.

It has become taboo among indians to criticise M.K.Gandhi because he is called Mahatma and father of the nation.Lenin' s statue was pulled down in Soviet union and he was branded a murderer though he was considered the founder of the nation before.
