Products like this show you how closed off and anti-consumer most mainstream devices really are. I'd love to live in a world where all of our devices are this open and friendly.

The dude is so passionate about the product but at the same time doesn't fluff about with marketing terms. Just pure technical walkthrough. Hope they succeed.

The fact that they put an Allen key inside the device is crazy! This goes beyond making your device repairable and actually highlight and encourages the DIY aspect of it.

What an innovation. 99% open source with multi-operation device. Truly a futuristic gadget it is. WISH YOU ALL THE BEST.

Preload it with network tools. Or provide custom images for certain applications. This can be a handy tool for any technician

None of the creators I follow who covered CES spoke about the Mecha Comet, but this is the only interesting product I've seen from this year's show. Huge props to the team for trying to make something genuinely interesting and unique, I hope you find success! I really love the intense focus on reaching that MVP state. Would 4G support be awesome? Sure, but not as awesome as getting the physical keyboard working, and people are happy to get by on WiFi while the cell support is in the works.

I'm reminded of course of Phoneblocks / Project Ara. Here's hoping for a different outcome for this team!

I need this. Smartphones still didn't really got the "pocket PC" experience that i dreamed about many years ago.

Did they just like send their head engineer to talk at their stand or something? This guy really knows his stuff, all the technical details on this device, and rattles off everything interesting I might have wanted to ask about. Great show!

This is incredible and amazing and this guy's energy and no-BS way of speaking is great. No hype, just straight forward explanations. I wish smart phones were like this device.

Like the dude. The detail of what is said and the thought is gold. Hope they will succeed

What an amazing concept. And the guy explaining everything seems really knowledgable. If I may suggest an idea, just imagine this being dockable. Something like Samsung Dex but a real desktop. It would be the ultimate portable device for many users.

Whenever I see a smartphone sized modular gadget, I get so irrationally excited. So cool.

Such a fresh air this is. Assuming how AI flavored the whole CES was.

Out of all the CES 2025 videos I've been watching, this one seems to be the most interesting one. I hope you product finds success. I'll be very glad to own one just for the tinkering with it .

What a time to be alive. When I was a child I was told a device that that would come along in a few hundred years. Now three decades later there it is, in the hand. Open-souce CAD files! How cool
