Honestly Technoblade was probably one of the very few people that actually said who he was, because he just wanted to live life while he could with the people he cared about. i think tommy's perspective on the state of the internet is super important. he kind of popped up at the perfect intersection of internet history (after edgy 2015's content and the adpocalypse, during minecraft's resurgence, and before the of YouTube). he was a child in a room full of adults, and he had to find out that many of those adults were shitty people. despite whatever money you're making or status you've achieved, that's a hard thing to deal with. it's honestly been a miracle to see that tommy has made it out of so many strange/toxic situations and remained true to himself despite the newfound celebrity and the mental damage that can do. hopefully we can make it out okay.

I'm an art major and all my work this year has been about how much worse internet addiction is than anyone understands. We were meant to be bored, it's the fuel for creativity and self creation. I needed it as a kid because I was being left alone and neglected -- it was my outlet to the outside world. But it's so different now I don't think kids now are going to have the same experience with it that I did, I think it will just try to make them become terimanlly addicted.

that hits so close to home. big man, i feel you. i can't imagine the extent of what you're going through but i'm pretty sure i feel something somewhat similar. you've got this tom. and we're here for you no matter what.

A lot of the flashing text hits so deep, and I even went back in slow-mo to read all of it. I agree, it's hard to look back at a lot of the old videos we all used to watch in 2020, especially some of your vids Tom, and a lot of other creators I knew back then- all because so many people have become a silent moment, some out of hatred, others out of respect.

I'm so glad I've grown up along with you, and I hope to keep growing with you. The internet is fucked up, but it also led so many of us to find you and other creators that have changed us, for better or for worse. Thank you Tom.

I say this without any exaggeration or sensationalization: Tom, I genuinely believe you are one of, not just the best, but most important creators of our generation because you are so genuine to yourself. You've grown from just entertaining to a fucking artist. I'm so, so sorry for all the shit you've gone through, all of the friends and acquaintances you've lost or had the memory corrupted of. And the internet definitely sucks in a lot of spaces now (full of clout chasers, money-hungry scammers, rabid hatred).
