This is legitimately one of the greatest songs I have ever heard. The progressive technicality of the higher guitar parts combined with the brutality and edge of the lower parts results in something like no other. This song is truly unbelievable.

I'm sad that it doesn't have the same brutality from Exoplanet, but with the amount of harmonies and sound play they have, I just cannot do anything except admire them for their new sound.
The fact that they changed their sound in a whole new direction simply means they feel comfortable enough to try new things, unlike some bands who always do the same thing to keep their popularity.
So koodos to The Contortionist, this stuff is unreal.

This band has always been my favorite. For the last five years. and i still haven't gotten the chance to see them live. To meet them and see them live would be one of my dreams. <3 The Contortionist. Stay unique.

It's like the whole song was leading up to such a short moment in 5:58 and it was fucking worth it...

2012 - I will always remember this as the year I discovered The Contortionist

They did back about a year and a half ago in the frak the gods tour. I had the privilege of seeing them play together in the same night, same venue, and got to meet them all :)
including The human abstract and textures.

This is, in my opinion, TC's best song, Language 1 & 2 coming in at a close second.

This song seeps deep into your mind and thoughts, it grabs you by the soul and takes you on an emotional journey, "there's a universe inside us all", and this amazing song allows us to explore. "Widen your peripheral", understand your universe as you observe more and more, search for your answer, its a mental transformation. Next time you listen, let this song flow through you, it feels empowering.

Edit: lookin at my comment over a year and a half later 😔 time flies by.. also still listening.

His highs got better, which I thought these guys couldn't get better, but each member grew from the last album to this single track. Incredible.

wow, this is definitely nothing like I've ever heard before. Wasn't expecting the contortionist to go in a direction like this in the slightest, but I'm glad their sound is progressing! I'm grateful there are still musicians who aren't afraid to step out of their comfort zone.

This song is actually very scientifically deep. I was quite blown away the first time I heard it. Physicists have been arguing for quite sometime, that the universe could actually be more like a holographic projection. Under string theory, the holographic universe actually seems possible. All of the horizons, entropy and microstates he talks about, actually deal with how black holes are thought to work. I could go on forever about all the shit he touches on in this song, hahah.
