Hey brother. I just wanted to thank you. While I didn't utilize your service, I watched a lot of your videos and subbed to the point where I harnessed my inner Tomi Mikula today and KILLED IT at the dealership. 2024 Tundra Limited 4x4 FULLY LOADED, $66, 336 MSRP, $50, 283 out the door. Over $16k off! The manager came out of the backroom and asked if I ever worked for a dealership before. 😂 Of course the lack of demand for the truck ATM helps.

Next time I buy a car I'm hiring Tommy! He is the best!

A person negotiating their own deal would have to eat it, or walk away from the deal.

This is why you need to hire Tomi with his 10 car deal leverage.

Much respect for you looking out for your client. I would have been pissed if they tried doing this on a car that I was buying. Sitting in the finance office is always a frustrating experience after you think that you have negotiated a fair deal.

400 bucks for dealership to get a notary signature? Its free at bank of america for bank of america customers. The notarial act charge sheet seems to top out at 25 bucks. What are they doing?

EXCELLENT video. My most recent purchase was out of state and we did all agreements over the phone. I usually don’t sign anything until I come to see the vehicle as I’ve had instances of brand new cars with scratches and stuff like that and can use to negotiate even lower price. Anyway I get there and am met by the sales person who shows me the car and I agree to move forward with the purchase. I am then greeted by the finance person who stated the usual finance perosn was out sick that week and they came from another dealer. He presents the paper work in front of me I begin noticing mismatches between the numbers in front of me vs what we negotiated. The final numbers OTD before finance were wrong. The special finance percent was wrong and a few other things. They were super apologetic the entire time and what was supposed to be two hours max turned into an all day ordeal. Maybe they tried to pull a fast one, I dunno but in the end they gave us $500 off the final price and even got my kiddos pizza. Mistakes happen I guess?

Id be willing to hire but my demands for specific vehicles are almost unattainable. My dream car Evo X MR 50k or less miles 1 owner. No accidents & long paper trail of ownership. They just dont exist lol. 😢

I really like Tomi’s negotiating deals.
But, in this one the problem was the client wouldn’t go pick up the car as agreed. Dealer should have told Tomi of the change and the added fee for the shipping. I don’t think the dealer was really trying to get something over Tomi. Imho.

Unfortunately it seems that Hyundai dealers are bad. The one near me a worker screamed at me because I told someone my age to keep her Mazda and Hyundai isn’t a good brand. They said don’t come back. I went to Genesis to do a deal for a friend and they refused to let me see the lease offer because it was cheaper than the 2024 model I inquired about 2 months ago. 😂.

Hey Tomi, I’ve been watching a ton of your videos. And I’m trying to negotiate my own deal. I see that the MSRP is 50, 000, but the TSRP is $55, 000. When speaking with the sales rep, I said that my goal is to be back off of MSRP, and she swears up and down that the MSRP is actually the TSRP and there’s nothing that she can do about that. Is this legit? Or am I correct in saying that I should be negotiating on the MSRP (before the distributors options and delivery processing, and handling)?

That happens all the time I agreed on buying a camry a few years ago for 3k under msrp. My wife was going to get it under her name and credit only. I told her not to sign anything until I read the contract well what do you know the price was msrp. They then drop it on Gap they wanted 995.00 I said nope I got it drop down to 395.00. Always go over contract.

Just the fact that this dealership is TRYING to sneak in extra fees would be enough for me to NEVER do business with them. Buy elsewhere.

4th time asking this... do you negotiate used cars as well? Or just new cars?

What is it with these sales managers, lets see if we can screw over Tomi? Tomi = Volume

You do realize that Maverick is a service that is used to send customers paperwork to sign, they are an outside vendor that goes to the customers house and verifies that the right person is the person signing the contract. It’s an actual human that’s not connected to the dealership AT ALL that gets paid for their time to actually go to the customer (sometimes traveling long distances) to sign documents and legal paperwork on your behalf.
