You know I used to regularly watch the show faithfully and I usually watched it on CREATE TV. I really miss it and I understand some of the chefs moved on to other pursuits. I miss when the world was normal.

Thanks so much. I saw this originally years ago on a local public NYC station and regretted not recording it. So happy & surprised to see it on you tube.

Great video! I will try the loin beef with the exact vegetables, looks delicious. And the rye bread was different, love rye bread. I really enjoyed that outdoor scenery, so rustic! As horse lover, what a beautiful horse you showed!

The open sandwich with crayfish looks interesting and something new worth trying out. However, I must say that Finns do not typically eat crayfish like this. Crayfish is more of a seasonal food between July and October. Crayfish is then served with white toast, butter and dill. Rye bread is a very typical type of bread used in open sandwiches, though. Having caraway and sour cream on your bread is not common, however. Butter would be used for spreading, and I would see gravlax as a common choice of topping, perhaps garnished with dill.

Best intro song ever! 😃
I wonder what is the ethnicity of the girl as she is so tan and dark skinned compared to others in finland. With such an exotic skin tone I find it a miracle that she is not trying to be married by the entire male Finland demographic 😆

So the reason I'm living in now looks a lot like this but the region in the up because of the mining industry is filled with Fins and Scandinavians. The landscape is very similar. It makes me very homesick.

You know JRT largely used the Finnish language, myth & culture along with Icelandic culture for the LOTR series.

Not very accurate info about the Scandinavian countries imo.
