The most important issue is that this device uses an ARM-based processor, which is incompatible with many software programs. I got it one week ago, and Google Drive and Kaspersky didn't work because of this processor. Otherwise, it's a beast compared with Surface products.

If you use Adobe products and davinci don't buy this. The emulation is horrible I just took mine back and it was so bad. If you don't use those programs this baby is the bees knees.

At time of this posting, the Minisforum V3 with an 8800u and 780m is about $100 cheaper at $950ish during Holiday sales.. You lose the stylus, but you gain an x86 processor, 32 gig ram... it does SUPPORT Pen input, , with a nice textured matte finish that is matte without being "fuzzy". I was really worried about that last one, because I'm visual snob, but it's honestly gorgeous, and I actually WANT the pent because of the nice texture on the thing. So, "how much can I complain"? a bit, actually. Asus has been in search of incredible for years, I'm still waiting for them to make progress ; )

How would this one compare to a full blown laptop or even more important the Microsoft surface devices? I'd love to know if it's a bang for the buck compared to the extreme surface prices or if it's far off in terms of performance

the copilot feature you were testing doesn't use the local cpu whatsoever, it's the same as windows 11 on any other pc with the same feature.

Is this a good purchase for people who aren't interested in the 'Art' part of the ProArt? Is a decent chunk of money being wasted on the art features for people who aren't going to use them?

Great review. Honestly, I dont know why computers still use headset jack plug if they come with usb-c. Simply use usb-c to jack adapter and problem solve.
