Knife Making - Titanium saltwater knife

This is sort of a dedicated salt water/beach knife I've had kicking around in my head for years. The blade is 6al4v titanium with a carbadized edge for increased edge retention. The pins are also titanium which means the knife is pretty much impervious to rust. The handles are orange g10 with an anso pattern and black liners. Underneath the handles I have installed some steel pins so that the knife sets off metal detectors (to cover my own arse legally). The blade and handles are both blasted for a nice toned down not reflective look.
I hoped you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching

Great video, but honestly half of why I love watching so much is because of the often hilarious commentary you usually include. Bring back the Maker with a Mouth

I really liked this video, love the commentary on the other videos but on this one it was nice to just focus on the craftsmanship. I think vids like these could span to a wider audience and can be nice from time to time when you cant be arsed commentating.
Keep it up!

I noticed at 5:26 that the smallest pulley is making full contact with the abrasive side of the belt. Does this cause significant wear on that part?

And, of course, superb build!

Awesome work! I never worked with titanium, it doesn't need to be heat treated? Or it was a piece already quenched? However it is a saltwater beatiful knife, very cool

Did you go through a lot of sanding belts on the titanium? Is there a special type of sand paper for titanium? Beautiful knife as always.

edit: are the pins also Titanium?
edit x2: disregard first edit, read the description. are you worried about the pins rusting at all? not that that would matter all that much except for aesthetics.
