Synopsis:
Tom Dobbs (Robin Williams) has made his career out of skewering politicians and speaking the mind of the exasperated nation on his talk show. Dobbs cracked scathing jokes at a fractured system night after night…until he came up with a funny idea: why not run for president himself?

Dobbs ignites a grassroots movement that puts him on the ballot. Hot on the campaign trail, he debates elected drones and says exactly what frustrated voters have often thought. The muckraker wins – only to learn that a computer voting error gave him the victory. The film also features Christopher Walken, Laura Linney, Lewis Black, and Jeff Goldblum. In the film Williams portrays Tom Dobbs, the host of a comedy/political talk show, based loosely on the real-life persona of Jon Stewart. With an offhand remark, he prompts four million people to e-mail their support; then he decides to campaign for President. The film was released theatrically on October 13, 2006, and was filmed in Toronto and Hamilton, Ontario, and in parts of Washington, D.C.[2] Man of the Year received mostly negative reviews and earned $41.2 million on a $20 million budget.

I thought it had a super fertile premise but it fumbled it by being indecisive about what genre it wanted to be. Coulda been a great comedy, coulda been a great political drama, coulda been a great conspiracy thriller, coulda been a great romance. Tried to be all of them at once, so it succeeded at none.

This movie was not watched in germany cause the the people that decided with voice he had heavenly fucked up gave him a voice just a voice even we all know the the synch voice but they just wantet to make him small
