I have an EJ. Amazing guitar! Just curious though, Eric Clapton’s neck and bridge sound like the have quacks. Never heard anything like it with other Strats

Whats your opinion on the necks of the johnson 12 inch radius vs the clapton 9.5 with the Soft V ? they both sound great !

I have Both, Eric Johnson Custom Shop Strat in black, and Eric Clapton Strat in Cream, two totaly different guitars
and both have thier great points

Dang I like them both! Each for their own sound. I have a EJ finally now, I like it better than my emg gilmour, my fender gold lace, and my American dlx with CSN and s1 switching, heck all my other strats too =)

EJ strat sounds very good but Tbx tone is hard to set properly, its an active circuit. I have a claptonized strat with noiseless and Tbx and I have tried many amps simulators and not sounds good until I plugged my guitar into a Marshall. Its magic!.

I guess you need to dial more of the Eric Clapton. Tbx here is maxed I guess. Boost is off. That’s what my EC sound like. But dialing more of the EC you can get a sweet spot like EJs. IMHO.
