Imagine this. I’m deep in the hinterland of the Yucatan, surrounded by jungle. It’s 5:00am, pitch dark, and misty. My friend and I are standing at the base of a Maya pyramid, by the grand staircase. As we begin to ascend, the mist gets thinner and soon we pop out into the clear air. The stone temple at the summit is bathed in pale blue light from the moon and the stars. We’re there to photo the sunrise over the jungle canopy. What’s the first thing that pops to mind when I set my bag down and take it all in: It doesn’t get any better than this .

Nigel, I am a wildlife photographer in Canada. I love watching your videos to learn about how to expand my genres, so that even when I'm not getting the wildlife I'm looking for, i can try and switch it up and come home with something I'm happy about. But I must say I went back to my roots when you saw that fox, because I was SCREAMING at my screen; "TAKE A PORTRAIT OF IT!" "PHOTOGRAPH THE FOX!". Looks like it was a beautiful day out, thanks for another great video!

Your excitement is quite understandable. I am envious. I live in northern Arizona where there is virtually no fog, ever, and all the trees are tall, straight Ponderosa pines. Still, this video has a lot of good stuff in it. Thank you!

I’m in the Pacific North West and I’m very acutely aware of the reasons why people want to visit this geographical location. It is (mostly) green and we have gorgeous mountain ranges, rivers, and the Pacific Ocean, every direction you turn, there is something vying for your attention. Great video, I was excited with you whilst looking at your surrounding! So pretty!

Excellent video Nigel and some worthy points for all photographers, most people always think the grass is greener elsewhere rather than where they live. It's not just photographer most people are totally unaware of the History and landmarks around them and travel miles and hours to see what they see or find more interesting just because its somewhere new to visit or go. Yes, everywhere is exotic to someone! A friend told me a story of when he was getting off a plane after returning home to Manchester. A guy from Egypt was in front of him and was giddy with excitement as he asked if it might rain... hopefully he wasn't disappointed! Well, it was Manchester...

I go out at night to photography trees and painting by light and i do get some wonderful photos
as the Shape and form of the trees shown up
Your photos of the trees and woods is something I try to capture so a big learning curve is going on
When your book comes I will enjoy and learn more
