We use the distributive property to find the product of numbers without a calculator. This strategy can be used to simplify multiplication problems, so they can be done without a calculator or entirely in our heads, it's a vital mental math trick! We focus on multiplying two digit numbers, but we also use the distributive property to multiply three digit numbers.
